On this page you will notice our main image area has been replaced with an Antarctica map. This is an interactive and exciting map feature which uses Google powered satellite imagery of Antarctica to enhance your experience and understanding of the places, people and images posted on this website.
You can use the arrow keys on the top left of the map to navigate your way around the frozen continent, or the + and - symbols to zoom in and out. The map also lets you switch between satellite or graphical map images.
As the site grows and is populated by the content of the people featured, more and more orange placemarkers will appear. When you click on these, information detailed on this website is highlighted in a caption bubble. This information includes locations of journals, photos, places or routes that our ships take on their cruises. There will also be links to these cruises which will take you to our parent cruise site.
We hope you agree it's a very exciting feature, giving a much greater depth of understanding into the information detailed on this site. Please keep visiting, as we build a better picture of Antarctica through real life journals, photos, profiles and video.
